Description
Having refused the man her parents chose for her, Miriam Jacobson travels to Europe with her physician uncle, acting as a companion and secretary in his research. When her uncle dies, Napoleon's war with England prevents her return home. Seeking safe passage, she becomes involved in a scheme to smuggle gold to Wellington in Spain, accompanied by two attractive men, both of whom detest her - and each other.
